The scene is simple: a pirate operator waiting on her motorbike, one hand on the tank and one foot on the ground. In short, that’s all you’ll find in W-66.

The scene

W-66 is a little scene from the Pirates of the Death Fangs, my sci-fi universe. The woman on the bike is a pirate operator who specialises in smuggling. The motorbike is her partner: a sentient drone, in practice the other half of her team.

The laughing cat logo on the bike’s tail and on the back of her vest reminds us that they belong to the pirate crew.

The motorbike

The motorbike is designed in Plasticity. It’s electric, and the tank is a container for carrying valuable and dangerous goods. In the scene the lid is open and the compartment is empty, waiting for a load to move quickly and in secret.

The tyres are customised with lettering on the sidewall, a small fun detail: SPEED DEMON 888 · 350/ZZ.

The operator

The operator is sculpted in Nomad Sculpt. As always, I started from a mannequin posed on the bike, then sculpted the details: a high-collared vest, shorts, gloves and sneakers.

In the first test prints there’s another female figure in 1/20 next to the bike, standing and with goggles on her helmet: I used it as a reference to judge the overall proportions.

Printing

The scene is printed on an Elegoo Saturn 4 Ultra with Elegoo Standard 8K Space Grey resin, 0.03 mm layer height, slicing in Lychee. The motorbike is split into parts to keep the supports less visible and to get better tilt angles for printing.

The figure is in pieces too: legs, torso with arms, head, hands and shoes.

Painting

W-66 has been grey since August 2025, and I’ll probably never paint it.
